The Background
Platinum Guild International (PGI) is a global organisation dedicated to developing and marketing platinum jewellery across international markets. Over the years, PGI has worked closely with partners throughout the industry. From manufacturers to retailers, helping to shape how platinum is understood, positioned, and valued.
With this depth of experience comes a nuanced understanding of the industry, as well as an awareness that markets do not stand still.

The Challenge
As consumer preferences evolved and market dynamics shifted, PGI began to sense that familiar approaches were no longer enough on their own. While existing strategies continued to deliver results, the organisation recognised the need to look more carefully at emerging patterns, behaviours, and opportunities.
The question was not whether change was coming, but how best to engage with it thoughtfully and purposefully.
How GraspCo Helped
GraspCo worked with PGI to create space for reflection, exploration, and shared understanding.

In the room, teams took time to examine shifts in consumer behaviour, revisit assumptions, and explore how these changes might influence products, services, processes, and policies across the value chain. Conversations were guided to move beyond individual perspectives, allowing insights to emerge collectively and be grounded in empathy, evidence, and real-world context.
Rather than rushing toward solutions, the focus was on developing clarity, so that any ideas generated were anchored in genuine understanding.
The Shift
The programme led to the development of 11 new business concepts, each identified as a potential area for further experimentation and growth.
Beyond these concepts, teams gained a shared way of thinking about change. One that could be applied to future challenges with greater confidence and alignment. The experience helped establish a common language for navigating uncertainty and exploring new possibilities together.
